Tonkeeper Pro, the enhanced version of the popular Tonkeeper self-custody wallet for the TON blockchain, is streamlining the process of using USDT TRC20 tokens.

A new update eliminates the need for users to acquire TRX, the native token of the TRON network, to cover transaction fees.

This gasless experience is powered by Tonkeeper Battery, a built-in service that simplifies transactions and enhances the accessibility of crypto payments.

The new feature is integrated into Tonkeeper Battery, a service that enables users to preload their wallets with credits from which subsequent transfer fees are deducted.

Tonkeeper Battery supports a range of tokens for preloading and also allows users to top up with a bank card via in-app purchases on both iOS and Android.

Making crypto easy: a core mission

“The mission of Tonkeeper is to make crypto payments easy for everyone and everything,” said CEO Oleg Andreev.

With USDT-TRC20 support in Tonkeeper Pro, users can make USDT payments without having to hold TRX on balance: fees are covered by Tonkeeper Battery. Support for USDT-TRC20 makes it easier for people to gradually transition to USDT on TON, where transaction fees are significantly lower and USDT.

With the addition of USDT TRC20 support, Tonkeeper Pro is solidifying its position as a payments-first wallet, enabling users to securely send and receive USDT TRC20 payments within the TON and TRON ecosystems. Tonkeeper Battery ensures users can transact without needing to hold TRX for network fees.

One of the most significant challenges in Web3 is ensuring sufficient TRX is available to cover transaction costs.

On TRON, USDT transfers require energy and bandwidth, which means users must either utilize their available bandwidth or purchase additional resources with TRX.

Tonkeeper Battery eliminates this complexity by automatically estimating the required energy and bandwidth, covering the necessary costs, and processing the transaction, all without requiring users to hold TRX.

Since its launch, Tonkeeper Battery has powered over 9 million transactions, establishing itself as an indispensable tool for navigating onchain payments.

To access the new TRC20 feature, Tonkeeper Pro users simply need to launch the desktop wallet and open Settings.

Once TRC20 is enabled, they can charge Tonkeeper Battery with supported tokens or a bank card and immediately begin sending USDT TRC20 without the hassle of managing TRX for fees.

This latest update represents a significant step forward in making crypto payments more accessible and user-friendly, further solidifying Tonkeeper Pro’s position as a leading self-custody wallet for the TON blockchain.
